I took this outside Metropolitan, where I realized to take this as a business, career. In 2005, the South African music industry saw the introduction of ShodZ as an up coming future best DJ in Gugulethu townships, Western Cape and South African market in general. Then DJ ShodZ was born, I started to sign contracts with one of the most famous restaurants in Cape Town, such as Mandisi’s restaurant known as Mzolis during weekends in 2006 until 2008, Pistol Club in line with Mzolis in 2006 till 2008, Cash Sport Bar in 2008 until currently. In all these venues, I was responsible for playing music, staging the extremely successful events such as promotions and group tours for the venue customers. I also provide Gqudu Lounge with DJ’s during the weekends. At the current venue that I am operating (Cash Sport Bar) I am responsible for entertainment, manage the DJ’s, and organize events, promotions and marketing. With my Conference and Events management and Exhibition certificate from Damelin College, my 13 year’s Administration office work experience in the insurance industry with the leading companies in South Africa, Metropolitan Life and Old Mutual, this made me a better person in understanding this industry very well and how to deal with clients professionally and with respect.
